My Dream House

Assalammualaikum.

Out of million topics that a single human could think of, two days ago my English teacher decided to give us an essay homework on 'My Dream House'. Quite easy, thank you Madam Lee. Easy-- really? Yup. Apparently because I am a girl (kuat berangan), and I have internet. But the problem is, I just don't know how to arrange the points so I refer to one of the essays that I found on the internet. Refer, I repeat, REFER. I don't copy them entirely, I took few and modify, obviously because I have my own story to tell. Haha. Too bad I have forgotten from which blog I found that essay.

And I have submitted the essay yesterday and received it back today with a compliment - 'Very good! :)'.  Kudos to the original essay author, and google. And Internet.

So here it goes, my essay. (If you guys found the original essay and have read mine, then you'd know how much I had modify it.)

My Dream House.

A few years ago, my parents bought a land and built their own bungalow 10 years after their marriage. I was born 5 years later. Now that I almost seventeen, and for the record, we have moved to five different states - Labuan, Kedah, Melaka, Johor and Negeri Sembilan. We moved a lot because every time my father gets a promotion, he will be transferred to another college. Praise to Allah he will retire this October! By the way, what I'm trying to say is, after years of moving, I've seen many different types of houses. And, yesterday my English teacher asked us about our dream house. What a coincidence, of course I know what I want!

Living in this modern and sophisticated country and being pampered by both of my parents, I would like to admit that my dream house will be the most desirable house you would have ever imagined. My dream house is five-storey high. The colours of the walls of my house is in different shades of grey. The floor of my dream house is covered in white marble tiles. The roof of my dream house is made of silver and gold. I don't need to be worried of thieves invading my house trying to steal my roof because my dream house will be guarded 24 hours every day by a sophisticated security system.  There is also a big swimming pool and a place for barbecue at the backyard for my family and I to have fun and throw parties - a good way to get closer with the neighbours.

Furthermore, my dream house consists of fourteen rooms.  The sitting room, the maid's room and the kitchen are located on the ground floor. There are toilets in each floor. The sitting room of my dream house is very big, spacious, luxurious and comfortable. There are black laced curtains hanging from the ceiling to make the room even bigger. There is also a black grand piano at the corner of the sitting room. The maid's room is quite small but comfortable with a small wardrobe and a single-sized bed. The kitchen is quite big and served as a dining room. There is a kitchen island with concrete countertops. There are also nine windows in my kitchen, to ensure it will not be too stuffy.

There are no escalators in my house. This is because walking upstairs is a good form of exercise. Thus, if you proceed up the stairs to the first floor you will see a study room, a theater room and a toilet. The study room is wide and colourful. There are bookshelves lining the four walls of the room. Plus, the are two air-conditioners to keep me awake and feel comfortable when studying or reading. The theater room has ten comfortable seats for my family and I to watch movies so that we don't have to go to a cinema to watch movies.

On the second floor of my house, there are only two rooms, that is a mini gymnasium and, of course a toilet. The gymnasium is for me to carry out my daily exercises. There are many exercising apparatus - from dumbbells and skipping ropes to running machines to keep me fit and healthy.

There are two bedrooms, a toilet, a room for praying and a large empty space on the third floor. One of the bedrooms is for myself whereas the other one is for my guests. My bedroom is big, with a king-sized bed, an air-conditioner and a sliding door besides the bed that leads to a balcony. There is a big wardrobe and a dressing table. The other room that is for guests is furnished almost exactly as my own room, except that the wardrobe is not so big. The room for praying is equipped with praying mats, Al-Quran, self-improvement and religion books. If I'm married and going to have kids, I will add their rooms later at the empty space.

The rest room is on the top floor of my house. There are two computers and a rack for me to put all my 'One Direction' album CDs. There is also a television, four big sofas, two air-conditioners and hundreds of English and Malay novels. A perfect room for me to simply relax after a hard day's work. Just for me... My parents with their own bungalow, my sister with her husband, and I'm with my own dream house. Marvellous!

However, this house is only a dream, a fantasy for me. I will never get a house like this if I don't work hard for it. Even though I can flirt with an old bald millionaire to get my dream house like those models in Malay dramas always do, that is not my style. So, I always bear in my mind that if I am successful in my studies and get a good job, with Allah's will I can get anything that I want.

Amboi essay den ni. Haha. 5 tingkat macam flat je, atap rumah silver and gold macam pelik je, pastu takdelah desirable mana pun essay ni-- Whatever. Den cuma banyak berfikir (berangan). Tu je. You guys can use this essay kalau sudi, and of course I don't really recommend the introduction and the conclusion, so I prefer you guys to make them on your own. Don't be like me, a copycat.

It's pretty late, gotta go fast before the Big Boss (dad) come to check me. Hahaha, adios!
